Ok, here is my poll - is this bird pregnant (eggs) or just REALLY fat?

I think your Nikon is making it look fat:D Nice colors - I am sure these guys are hard to get sitting still

Bill, that is a cute bird! Nice color, detail, and eye contact. I think the BG needs some work in the ULC.

    Default Cold Bluebird

It is not fat. It is fluffing it's feathers out to trap air between them which then insulates it's body from the cold.

That's what my friend sezzz too. I will admit it is part of it but she always looks like that (been around a few days) and her counterpart looks normal size. I thought she was holding eggs. Is this wrong?

Very nice shot of that little fluff ball Bill, though I believe it's a male bluebird so the egg theory kinda got cracked...

Beautiful colors, I would try to get a little more details in the blacks by lighten/contrast them up just a tad to have deep blacks AND dark gray.... like the eye and the left foot.

    Nice shot overall

Thanks Christian. It's a fun shot, one of those we don't get to take enough of. It looks like maybe egg on my face would be closer to the truth afer looking at my Nat Geo birdbook :) I guess that makes him a really fluffed up FAT Bluebird. Thanks for the attention to the contrast, I will take a look at it. Bill
