This is sweet Jim- super sharp, a killer BG and perch and great light. Tongue adds to the interest. Crop-wise, you might be able to get away with a little off the bottom- maybe half of what yo have?

Lovely BG, perch, colours, tongue. Well done. Agree a bit off the bottom wouldn't be missed.

Very nice. I agree with the positives mentioned above. But the greens in these areas just seem off to me. What sort of post-processing on this?

The lichens on the perch were overexposed and came out white but were originally green. This was my attempt to return them to there original colour.

Ah, OK, thank you. Something didn't register quite right, and that explains it.

Nice looking specimen. I like the detail in the chest, neck, and head and the lichen covered perch.

Jim, despite the lichen repair, I think this is very nice and would be happy to have this in my files. I really like the open beak and tongue. Congrats.

Super pose, and the protruding tongue certainly adds to the image. Just love the colours, and good job on the sharpness too. Good looking perch too.

Love the image . The sharpness is cool . A wee bit DOF is what I would have wished for .
