These two characters were last spotted at Crandon Gardens, confused as to which route they were going to take. They were painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 300mm f/4D, focal length set to 420mm with a 1.4 T/C, aperture priority, ISO-200, @ 1/60 sec - f/9, exposure comp 0EV and WB on auto.
Comments greatly appreciated.
I like the mood and interaction. I wish the bird below would have looked at you, too. The BG is a bit distracting. I might apply some shadow/highlight and wish there were no overlap between bill and head.
Just a little more of a head turn on the bottom one would have made a nice difference. I think a little fill flash would have helped you open up those shadow areas as well. I love that place Crandon Gardens....if you are in Miami I suppose you are nearby which is good!
Hi Gus An image this close with two birds needs lots dof Unless both are sharp it is not going to work Original histogram must have been under some
Would also suggest trying to have both head parallels to the plane and no overlap in the birds ..... maybe this shows why I don't try many pairs of these guys at Crandon I like how you are trying paris of birds When you nail one they are so rewarding
