This out-of-frame image features a trio of sandhill cranes captured on one of Artie's Bosque IPTs, against a background of a recent Florida sky. The photo of the cranes was taken with a Canon 10D and 500mm lens, at ISO 200, f/5.6 at 1/1500.

That is really cool, Mike. My wife and I are looking at this and both really like this!

Mike, Really cool looking image. Nice extraction work. Many angle possibilities for the frame. :)

Excellent OOF image, Mike, though I think it would look better if the frame faced to the left since that's the direction the birds are going. I like the poses and lighting.

The extraction is great work, and I like the angled frame, Mike. Christopher may have hit it on the head about the frame. A nice twist to have the birds flying into it rather than out:) Kora

Great OOTB work here. Looks a little surreal to me.

Gives me ideas!!! Thanks! Great, creative job. ( I know we are supposed to critique, but I really like the idea and the angles, etc.

Thanks for all the feedback. I agree that the perspective of the frame should logically open toward the left rather than toward the right! I didn't want the frame to be square with the viewer, and to open toward the left meant committing more frame space on the right side, away from the subjects. So, the result is a bit confusing to the eye!
