This is stunning Arash. Love the contrast of the web feet against the background and I especially like the detail of the splayed tail feathers

    Arash,

looks like a Northern shoveler female to me.

Very nice wing position and eye contact.

    Yup, concur :)

Very nice light eye contact and excellent landing pose.
Great one. I would probably crop out or include more of the reflection at the bottom.

Shoveler for sure Arash. I love the image. The BG makes that subject pop and the light looks like it was perfect. Spot on with the timing, sharpness and exposure. Big congrats!!

    Arash:

Excellent timing, great wing position, feet, exposure and composition.

There seems to be a slight loss of detail in the head/eye area, as if the focus point was more towards the wings. It could be from the head being wet, smoothing out the detail. The bill itself look pretty good re: sharpness.

    Cheers

    Randy

Thanks a lot guys, sorry I screwed up the name, the file name was actually shoveler landing not sure how it turned into a Mallard.

Good eyes Randy! yup the head is wet and reflective! focus was on the neck.

Awesome flight shot. I like everything here: Wing pose, light, background and the fantastic sharpness.

Great picture and wing pose. I also like the tail touching the water.

Hi Arash, great ss to freeze the landing. I like the swept back wing posture, and overall nice and sharp.
