Cool shot, I like the color on the inside of the shell. Does it need a little CCW rotation?

How could you not love them?!!! Fabs, this is tremendous. Thanks so much!

The image has fabulous light, colour, sharpness and action, and the BG melts in your mouth. I don't think a better Ring-bill portrait has been produced.

    Fabs:

Excellent shooting angle. Shell adds a lot, tells the story. Lovely background. Drops pouring out, foam, all good.

The shell/bill are the center of attention here, and I think they could use just a touch more sharpening.

    Cheers

I love it, the BG color is just perfect "sea" blue. The red on the gull matches the shell
color, the water drops lead to the shell on the ground, action is great, very dynamical image.
    Excellent.

A common bird, but very nicely rendered, Fabs. The sharpness, comp, low angle, and background are all good, but the color and symmetry of the cockle shell plus the falling water drops make this one special.

As above plus I love that the brighter red inside of the shells are visible. Thanks to you and Alfred for your help.

This is a special moment you captured here. The angle at which you photographed this, as well as the bird's HA, really help this capture to work so well. I like the water droplets, foam and second open shell really work. If you were so inclined, you may wish to consider removing the white shell just below the bird's tail feathers. TFS

Pleasing background and composition. Nice details in the bird. What makes the shot for me is the action of the bird, lifting the shell and dripping of water.

The low level viewpoint, the shell in the water complimenting the shell in his bis, the dripping water and the BG all combine to frame this scoundrel just lovely. A typical cynical gull stare, cheeky beggars one cannot help loving.A really lovely picture, Fabs.

Wow!! An awesome moment combined with perfect techs, shooting angle and comp. I like how the shell on the beach balances everything else.
