    Default California Daffodil

On a trip back to CA last week I was soooo jealous that their daffodils were up. Don't know if this fits here since I used poster edges on it. I can post the original if needed but liked the postered one better. Hard to catch for sharpness because a slight breeze kept moving it.

    f6.5, iso 100, 105mm length, ap priority, 1/320 sec.

Some adjustment through curves and selective sharpening including high pass.

This belongs right here, OOTB, in or out of camera :)

I like poster edges myself, although I prefer to dial down the posterization effect because of the patches. Very good looking creation, congrats!

Hazel, The image is perfect for OOTB. The Daffodil looks lovely. I agree w/ Fabs regarding the amount of poster edges. Would prefer to have the second Daff. either all the way in or evicted, Nice work:)

See...told you this is where it belonged! I'm with Denise - I think the one daisy by itself would make for a much stronger composition unless you could get the entire second flower in the frame and go more to a vertical presentation. Nice effect though...way to step outside the box!

Like the poster edge treatment, and your background colors compliment the white and yellow of the daff, Hazel. Though I'd like to see the edges of the yellow part a little more vibrant. Daffodils are the herald of spring over here and the yellow centres are usually quite strident:) Kora
