Default Happiness - Promise of Spring

This is one of several ideas that I had for this theme. I wanted a warm, spring feel to this partly to help keep my mind off all the white stuff coming down outside. :)

I used channel mixer to desaturate the image a bit and then used selective color and hue/saturation to warm up the color tones. I also applied an orton effect, added a light-colored vignette using a color fill layer and the inner shadow and inner glow layer styles, and overlaid it with one of my textures. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Nice image and application, Christopher.

I like the image for the theme. However, if it were mine I would have a more "joyous" color base, or try to have. The browns to me mean death of nature. Probably from my days in the northland and the dreary winters from November to March, when color didn't exist. Of course, as usual, just my comment. But ... Your image ... Your vision.

Nice shot and application though ... except for the color! :( :o ;) :D

Christopher, I agree w/ Fabs- I like it as presented. Beautiful soft overlay look. The vignette and orton really are subtle and nice.

Thanks Mark, Fabs, and Denise. Much appreciated! Mark, I appreciate your view regarding the color though personally I like the brown color scheme. I think it gives a nice nostalgic feel to the image.
