Maybe it is the frame, but I don't think this effect adds much to the original image (which is a great shot). It is not different enough from the original. Having said that, I love the composition (mainly the curving line of the bird's chest). Classic nuthatch!

I would prefer that the eye be off center. I like the flow of the body through the beak, but it is too tight for me. But ...
