This cow elk doesn't seem to mind the least bit as this jay is checking out her ear for any bugs that might be in there.

Photo taken in Rocky Mountain National Park with a Canon Mark II and a 200-400 Canon zoom lens @ f/7.1, 1/100 and ISO 500. Image is almost full frame with a little cropping in PS4.

Nice image. I would experiment with the white balance a bit.

    There are great reviews of that lens. I won't mind a 100-400 f4 ;)

    Hi Louis

Love the behavior and selected crop !!! Did not see the exp comp but seems a little over exposed? Would tone down some !!!

... we might be getting a 200-400 f4.0 IS DO soon? just rumors !!! :)

    Hi Louis,
Agree with the others on the BG brightness. May also try a reverse s-curve to see if it tmaes a bit of the contrast first then do the other PP'ing. Great interaction.

    Hi Louis,

Well seen and recorded. It is good to capture action such as this. I agree that it looks a tad bright as presented.
