    Default Great Egret from Gatorland

Finished my second workshop at Gatorland this past weekend where I created this image of a Great Egret in soft light (shade from a tree) with a hint of the setting sun's color on the back.

Saw Artie and Denise on Sunday. It was good to finally meet Denise and see Artie again.

Sweet Robert. Shades of the old DeSoto images... It was good seeing you again too. You might try a bit of CW rotation here or play connect the eyes and see where that takes you. Good job as expected with the EXP and an obviously loverly reflection. Not sure how I feel about the head tucked in slightly behind the neck--one moment I think that it is a plus, another the opposite....

Robert, It was a pleasure to finally meet you also. I love the perfect reflection and the high-key look. I agree it needs a slight rotation. Beautiful sharp details and exposure.:)

Thanks for the rotation catch Artie and Denise. I did not notice that and was lazy for not checking it.:o

Ditto on the neck Artie. Finally decided I was OK with it. Have same image of the bird but with the neck up and no s-curve. The light was soooooo good though.

Desoto was just what I was thinking when I made it.

Figured I post the rotated correction.

Great reflection, awesome exposure & light. The water looks so clean, did you need to clean it up at all?
    Cheers

    Martin,

Good question. Three small spots only. Nice thing about the swamp at Gatorland is that the water is very clean most of the time.

Robert....loved the light and the softness in the plumage. Exposure is sooo perfect. This is really beautiful.
