    Default Look, I'm Dancing!

Image created at Green Cay Wetlands the other day in the aftermath of a bathing drenzy by this Mottled Duck.
I was taken by the body position of the bird, almost human-like.

tack sharp head and eye, milt and i like the blurred wings showing the action!! the inside left wing looks a little hot. maybe you could tone it down. i would also clone out the specular highlights on the bill. i like the composition. and the blues are nicely shown. well done!!

Milt, love the action pose. Not sure about background, but if possible try to shot at eye level. That way we see their life.

Nice HA and eye, a tad tight IMO. I like the bird to be about 25 to 33% of the frame if the habitat is included - this is personal taste only.

Milt, I also like the motion blur of the wings. Might have been more eye catching and easier to feel the flowing rhythm of the wings if not for the jittery feeling of the background. The black area if front of the duck might have benefited with a little healing brush or something. (I'm just trying to learn Photo Shop so not sure how to correct that area). Nice colors in the wing. Thank You, Steve

Hi Milt - some nice advice from Harold and Jeff. Agree a lower shooting angle could have put this oover the top.

Thanks for all your comments. Unfortunately, at Green Cay, we shoot from a boardwalk and cannot get down to eye level with the birds.
