This image was originally horizontal but I cropped it verticle using about 60% of the original frame.

Your comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

    Rich:

Nice portrait of this 'beauty challenged guy"

I might consider a bit of a crop from the top, and tone down the whites just a bit.

    Cheers

Nice composition. Might slide the recovery slider to the right a bit to try to regain detail in the whites. Personally, I don't think you should crop from the top. It's just about right to my eye.

Oops, never mind the comment about the crop. I was inadvertently looking at Randy's version.

Randy's crop is an improvement. I was hesitant to crop the top too much because the image frame was getting quite square but it does look much better. I'll work on the whites and see if I can recover more detail.
    Thanks for the inputs.

I've selectively tried to tone down the whites and recover more detail as well as crop per Randy's suggestion. Have I gone too far or is this an improvement?

    Rich:
It looks better to me re: whites. I had actually toned the whites in my repost down a tiny bit, but I was on my work monitor, so not as predictable.
