    Default Bald Eagle in Heavy Snow

    Just back from Utah. Photographed this bald eagle in some really heavy snow which would challenge any AF system I've ever used. The AF on my new 7D was excellent in these conditions getting around a 70% success rate. Overall I've been very pleased.

    Robert, I really like this photo. Snow adds so much and the eagle is sharp. But I am not sure about the vertical crop. My personal preference would be horizontal.

    Love the snow against the razor sharp eagle!
    Pose makes for a tough composition IMO.
    Agree with going vertical but maybe position bird a bit higher in the frame?

    Awesome shot. The snow is fantastic. Great wing pose. The white BG is great here as is shows the snowy condition in which this picture was taken.
    For me, the vertical crop is fine.
