Nice action photo KK. It is actually touching the water with the tips of the wings!

Lovely action image. The reflection is cool as the wing tips touching the surface gently.

KK< This is one of your very best and that is saying quite a bit. Despite the bird angling away from you the detail on the top of the near wing and the reflection combine to put this one over the top...

I would prefer a little more light on the face area, but man-o-man what a terrific photograph!! The wings skimming the water make it for me... :-)

The only nit here is I am so incredibly jealous. The reflection makes this very special.

Nothing more need be said except ATTABOY! Is the northern pintail native to southern China? I know it is circumpolar in the norther hemisphere, but had no idea it extended deep into China. Unless I'm mistakenly thinking Hong Kong is farther south than it really is.

    Thanks Ron!
Northern Pintail is migratory bird over here. They are from northern China as far as I know. They breed in N Asia and winters S China eg Hong Kong.
