This was taken at Lake Mead National Recreation Area where it was just a group of fishermen and me with my camera. I'm thinking that oof reed in front of the bird should go? CC encouraged and greatly appreciated.

nice head shot here , right now not on calibrated monitor so wont be able to make comment on BLUEs but looks good to me. Sticks coming out of water are distracting but will leave them as it is as they are part of habitat

Katie, I like the detail from the head and neck, and the droplets add to the image. Regarding the BG, and Im not sure what was to the right, but I may have waited for him to swim a little further to capture a clearer shot. Having said that, knowing these guys, he could have dived an disappeared.

Katie I like this a lot. Love that you are getting habitat in the shot. Agree with you that the right reed should go.

I love how you captured this individual swimming way low as they like to do (but don't often see in photographs). It's placed just right within the frame too. Face is nice and sharp. Although I like the twigs, I wish none of the OOF ones were there.

Very nice image, like the panorama crop, and catch lite in the eye, also could do without some of the OOF reeds. Mabe a little more room to the right for the bird to swim into.
