    Default Florida in April

    I have a couple of weeks in Florida mid/end april, The first week i have booked with some brit friends but have the 2nd week to do what i want, Can somebody here advise me on the best places to go for Spoonbills, Skimmers and Osprey

    better go to the west coast. spoonies usually roost in the lagoon close to the holiday inn at little estero. i hear there are some at ding darling. not sure how reliable they are. skimmers, i have found at times at bunche beach. hopefully others will chime in with other locations. and ospreys are everywhere!! flamingo is osprey central!! lots of nests and opportunities!!!

    I have had sucess geting captures of all three at Merritt Island NWR. The spoonbill have a nesting area on a small island in Mosquito Lagoon. However most of these were caught January thru March. The nesting and mating in the area has been delayed due to the recent cold spell and it may still be active in April.
