    I saw this pelican coming in to land from a friend's balcony with a great view.
    It is one of the heaviest flying birds in Australia. Fairly routine camera settings, on a Rebel 300 D. The work was done on computer

    Hi Hal You have gotten some interesting effects here From a compositional point would clone out the feather across his face I like the position in the air just short of landing The rest is up to personal taste It is one wild image Might want to explain how it was done !!!

    The pose is interesting but the image looks quite noisy. Could you post the techs you used?

    I am guessing you used some sort of photoshop action here to get the effect you posted...well I hope you did! :D

    Hey Hal. Good looking bird, although the feather across the face is a bit distracting. You captured a great pre-landing moment, although I'm not sure the Photoshop processing brought out the best of your image...I think I would prefer something with fewer colors in the background. We'd love to know what you did here!
