Gina and I went up the hill to Madera Kubo B&B for an hour before it was cold enough to snow. Very overcast and under the trees. As you know that the Nuthatch' spend most of their time climbing up & down tree trunks so I was happy to even get him on a suet feeder in a horizontal position. All I did was crop, resize with a tad of color adjustment. I'm thinking my TTL flash at 1.0 was a bit strong at that distance as feathers look a bit too sharp?

Gus, I like this. Very sharp, good color and eye contact. You have mentioned Madera Canyon a couple of times in your posts. I have heard of this B&B. Good place for hummers? Don't they run field trips for birders?
Last time I was in Tucson I planned on going to Madera, but didn't make it due to trouble with the rental car.
Madera Canyon is one of the premier birding spots in the USA. Yes, Santa Rita Lodge has a couple of Hummingbird seminar trips every year by leading Hummingbird phjotographers, and Madera Kubo B&B is a great place for all birds and the only place where the Flame colored Tanager nests every year. appearing from about March thu April, and stays usuallty thru August
Great Nuthatch pose, and very sharp. Cropped a bit tight, but I can understand that you were trying to cut out the non-natural surroundings. I like it.
Hi Gus I like the crop as presented and the feeder does enhance the image !!! Has a very good feel !! Agree with you on the flash setting but excellent as presented
.... all that could have made it better was some falling snow :)
