Very graceful Jackie. I like the BG a lot. I wonder if just a tad of extra contrast would make it pop a bit more?

Beautiful shot. Wonderful light and colors. Great background. Great work with depth of field. I like the whole flower being sharp.
I first though about placing the subject a little more to the right would help but now I think it is best as presented.

This is beautiful Jackie. Great IQ and I love that you captured fine detail and yet retained a lovely soft feel to the image. Like the slightly distressed look of the bg as well.:)

Nice colors and sharpness, Jackie. Have you thought about a vertical crop?:)

Julie I have some verticals (on a white wall) but my backdrop is only 13 x19 and by the time you get the angle right you have run out of canvas. (Lots of taping and retaping to make sure it was all in the photo:eek:) The verticals I just usually shoot on a white wall. I'll have to get a bigger BG maybe tape two together....or wait for spring and go outdoors.

Or...try taking an image of the BG and then an image of the vertical flower and then put the flower on the BG in Photoshop. ;)

It's beautiful, Jackie...nice sharpness and lovely colors. I also would prefer more green stem to balance out the size of the bloom with less negative space on the right side but this is also lovely. Your version is very delicate and soft; I increased the contrast a bit and cropped some off the right. Just another take for everyone to think about...not better - just different.

Thanks Jules, I do like your crop, but I like the more sedate feeling of the first one. But thanks you for taking the time to work on the image. I will work out a vertical:D. Thanks everyone for commenting I appreciate you taking the time.

    Hey Jackie,
Very nice BG. I must confess to a preference on Jules crop and pop....but I also feel your softer OP is also very nice!
