    Ken:

    Good timing on the blast off. Generally prefer if the bird is parallel to or angling towards the viewer a bit.
    This view does show some nice detail of the dorsal surface of the far wing.

    If you have more room to the left, often the splash adds to the image.

    This has the makings of a good Egret image. I agree with Randy that it is generally better to have the egret parallel or coming toward you. The whites look a bit hot and I would add some sharpening.
