Hi Jackie - like it also - just a little late - has flown past you and the HA.
Nice details and Flash use looks good.
The bg compliments the bird really well - has a nice 3D feel.
    Good show!!!!!

Jackie, I like this image. I have no experience with shooting BIF and would be very happy with it if it were mine. I love the wing detail and the BG.

Julie you need practice, practice , practice. I find them very difficult to do. I went out today and had a low keeper rate. But will go out until I have it all figured out, which I think will be some time:).

Nice BG and image has a good feel to it. Nice use of contrast and mid-tones. The flash makes the picture, settings are real good. I like them about minus two for fill - the feather colors on the primaries are fantastic!

I can see why you like this picture, the feather details and color are gorgeous, and I think the background color matches the bird well. Nice use of flash too.

Hi Jackie. This has a beautiful feeling to it. Colors of bird and bg are lovely; exposure and use of flash good. Beautifully composed in camera for a full-frame BIF; in fact I find it amazing. I usually cut off a wing or a foot when I try to get in that close. Too bad he's going away, but it's still a lovely shot.

I like it Jackie Does have a great feel and that bg is just Sweet !! Does complement the bird well !!

We usually look for the head angle but this is one that works just fine, great bird, full breeding plumage well presented !!!
