Welcome to the forum, is this your first post - great shot!

Nice job raising ISO to bump shutter for BIF action or light conditions. Is it a tad underexposed, how does histogram look. Was thinking maybe more that +33, how did you meter the image? I cannot tell about the light, was it overcast/low light - nice shot.

Nice shot, I thought either more exposure comp or fill flash. Great wing position.

It came out a bit underexposed, and I used the sky as white point to bring out the owl better.
Metering, I did a test exposure on brown part of the jungle.
Yes cloudy sky, sun was behind the cloud.

I rarely use flash as I do not have a wimberley flash bracket. I prefer using natural light.

Yes, hard to shot and adjust when they are flying right at you and adjustments can be made in post nice one would lighten the face and work the eyes IMO.

Love the incoming look, the blurred wing that imply motion and how the wings are symmetric. Agree about trying to light up the face a bit.

Hi Troy Just the lightening suggestions, very subtle !!!

Exposure wise for this just meter on the sky and add one stop, if its overcast can go two safely. Will end up with a high key image but no getting around it !!! Flash would not do much since the shutter speed is high !!

.... btw send me a pm to change name, need to take out the Photography after your name !!!
