    There's a Goatweed Leafwing butterfly in this shot. Some people find it right away and some never do. :)

    It didn't take me long.....but then I got my start in biology by collecting insects.....mainly butterflies. Wonderful example of camouflage and nice image to show it. Interesting is that I've never seen one of these before......good testament to how well they blend in.

    This was taken last spring. They normally aren't common in west TN but for some reason they were in 2009.

    Don't feel bad. I watched this butterfly land 4 times before I could find it on the ground. :)
