Ivan, I like the HA and eye contact. I think you could crop out the OOf FG and horizon/trees from the BG to make this a pano. I don't know the coloring of this bird-does it have that much contrast from breast to back? Maybe you could bring down the whites on the head and back and lighten the darks on the breast.:)

They are pretty contrasty birds - the males at least. You could try toning it down, but I'd be happy with it as is. :)

I like the shot, as I generally prefer images that tell more of the story than just what the bird looks like. But I'd try cropping some of the very out of focus foreground out rather more.

    Cheers, Phil

Very nice and you really got low (ground-level). Here in this hemisphere we have the counterpart species, the Black-bellied Plover. I like the composition showing the habitat, as well as the blurred fore and background. I think it adds to the photo. The whites on the back are a little bit blown out and there is some loss of details there, but overall is a good pic.

Great low angle and I like the overall mood to this image but I would crop away about half of the OOF FG, and level the horizon (needs CCW rotation). I like the distant horizon and trees...I just wish the middle one was lighter and less defined like the one at right.
