Image created at Vierra Wetlands on a very cold and foggy morning last month...I did what I could to alleviate the fog effect but I'm not totally happy with the colors. Suggestions are more than welcome :)

It doesn't look too bad to me, but I tried the following:
Duplicated the layer and used Multiply as blending mode at 29% opacity, making the underwings to keep them light. Do you see any improvement?

I can definitely see the effect of the multiply layer and I think it helps fabs.

Something just doesn't sit well with me about the overall color tone...probably because of thw eird light in the fog that morning.

Maybe it just looks a bit hazy?

Do you want me to try to change the sky's hue in Viveza?
    You're being extra critical IMO.

    Jim:

I like the poses, and the fact that the nest shape mirrors the wing spread of the male coming in.

I find myself wanting just a bit more nest below, an then a smidge off the top and sides.

Randy...Hmmmmm...I had more nest and will look at it again.

Fabs...deep down we've always thought alike...you were just too stubborn to realize it (running away quickly now)

    Hi Jim,
I like the interaction, nest, wing span and soft light, can see noise in under the wing areas, would clean up with NR. Thanks for sharing, nice photo.

Interesting part about the noise under the wings is that I printed this for someone this evening and it doesn't show up at all in print.

I'll olive with it and not take the detail hit on digital, but I do agree that it does show up here Arash.

    Jim,

I can see the the high noise under the wings. Love the moment, I feel it is over saturated.

    Another great behavior image, Jim!

Centering the subjects works really well here.
Colors look fine to me in the OP although going a bit darker as in Fabs' repost is an improvement IMO.
In particular, the head of the bird with the twig seems a bit washed out for some reason.
Also wish for a bit more room at the bottom.

A lovely image of the building delivery. Agree with a tad more nest below.Overall, the image appear very light on my monitor. The orangy pink in the breeding plumage is very interesting, our does NOT look like that, ever, yet they sat it is the same Heron? Maybe selective shadow and highlights below the wing will help? I know Morlel is quite good at applying it.
