Okay, I think I have a new FFF (Fabs Forn Favorite!) This is perfection! I love the blur on the egret - makes it look like it IS a soul rising out of that flower. The soft, muted colors are lovely as well. Now tell me what "swerve" is? Am I missing a plug in somewhere???

Jules, Flaming Pear has a lot of inexpensive plugins that are a blast. Al's Flexify and many more, check them out, really inexpensive and fun:

Two of my creations with Flaming Pear are included in Tim Grey's and Ellen Anon's PS CS for nature photographers.

    Thanks!

Nice work Fabs. Funny thing, even though I use photoshop primarily, I've had a copy of PhotoImpact 8 since it came out and still find some of the effects, especially "particle effects" extremely useful, as well as their version of drop shadows. As far as flaming pear goes; can't beat flood. regards~Bill

This is beautifully conceived and rendered. I love the muted tones and the overal flow and balance. I agree also that Flaming Pear has some dynamite plugins. Flood and Meloncholytron are 2 of my favorites. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wow, this is fantastic! I would never have known this started out as a photo.
It has a very artsy, holiday greeting card look to it and I mean that in a good way. :)
