    This falcon was sitting right next to the road near Serengeti National Park, way too close for the 600 x1.4 on my Nikon D300 body. So I captured 4 images and photomerged them with photoshop CS3. I had to construct some rock in the lower right--you can see some artifact there, but I don't think it is too distracting. ISO 400, 1/1600 sec, f/7.1, Exposure compensation -1. The bird flew before I could change to a smaller lens, so I was left with photomerge if I wanted the entire bird.

    If this ones a merged image then its nicely done and yeah the you can make out the artifact in the lower right of the bird

    I like this a lot. Great eye contact and sharpness. The artifacts can be seen but I don't think it is too distracting.

    The rock isn't too distracting, good job on merging the 4 shots, beautiful BG, lots of details...
