Wood duck I found on a little pond this week. He showed a unusual inquisitiveness and no fear of me. I wish I could have captured the green iridescence from his head feathers but the light didn't lend itself to bringing it out.
Nice colors and I also like the head on pose and low angle. I agree with a little CW rotation. I think you can get a little more irridescense on the head. I played around and got this but it may not look natural enough for you (I've never seen one of these in person). Will remove upon request.
I love the light Mike, the colors too but I would have done only half of the job that Steve has done. I like the way he highlighted the iridescence on the head but I would have not touch the breast as much has he did...
Composition works very well with this shot, and the "smile" is just great! Just like a real politician!
Colors are very pleasing, beautifully shot. Looks like he's talking to you (a speech, maybe?). Also, I like seeing the reflection and wished the frame was less tight.
