Couldn't resist the title:D.......had quite a few opportunities with mating lions .....the angle here (although not light) is my favorite. Serengeti NP from my just completed tour. I will be announcing next years tours shortly.

Gotta have some reward for being on the lookout for rivals all the time! I like the opposing head turns here. Nice view of the female. Personal preference for a little boost in contrast and color.

Like you got them both snarling and her eyes open. The angles of the body tell a story too - the moment of release. Detail is fantastic too. Just a great action catch.

For my taste, a boost of midtone contrast would make it even better. Saturation is fine for me, but I am seeing the colour as being just a little off (a touch too much magneta maybe? Not sure).

Very nice, good to see some action, I also think there maybe a slight magenta cast based on the colour of the mud!

    Roman,
Great action. I wonder how you resisted the temptation of not clicking this with a wide angle. :D I like the details in this image and the sharpness. It is good that you got it in the open without any intervening bushes to contend with. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

    Cheers,

Looks like you had a great trip. Detail looks good. Agree with Steve on the contrast and saturation boost. TFs

Great display of dominance, we females have a way to make the males think they rule ;)

I used the gray eyedropper in Curves on the mud patch and this is what I got.

Looks good Fabs! Nice, quick tip!
I will confess that I lowered the contrast and saturation....I think I'm still recovering from the 8 hour time difference!

Like the interaction and the expressions. The second post is more colorful.

Hey Roman, a great sighting, and "action" well captured. The intense expressions on both parties makes this image.

Great "action" image. Both the original and Fab's re post look on my monitor as if they could use more contrast. Also looks like a color cast -green?

they do make quite a racket eh Roman? :)
nice angle indeed, the repost sorts the colours out better. I might be tempted to do a high contrast B&W here?

I trust your trip was the bomb - one of my dream destinations that...
