One of the many yet to be processed images from last summer at Nickerson beach on LI. The Oyster Catchers can always be counted on to provide many photo ops. Just waiting for all the snow to melt and get some warm weather.:)

beautiful landing pose. good eye contact. i can see a big creamish patch just behind the head can be easy cloning work. i see a little more space on top and trimming it can add more.

    Hey Joe,
Never get tired of these guys! Nice job with the incoming landing pose. BG looks fine on this end......and I've never been shy with crops.....so I'm OK with that thought too......still doesn't affect a reallly nice landing OC!
Let's keep our fingers crossed that NY doesn't close down some beaches for budgetary reasons!

Joe, lovely show of the outspread wings for an incoming. Good sharp detail, and I would move him up in the frame. He is separated nicely from the BG. Well captured.

What a nice landing pose, Joe. Good memories, can't wait for spring and these birds getting active again.

Nice to see one of these in the air. Would also look good to me with more of a tighter, pano crop.
