    This is exquisite Don!! A really beautiful composition - the diagonal leaf works so well as the perch and the dragonfly showing such fine detail. I also like the tonal gradations of the BG. Congratulations!!!

    (Have you got any specs on hand re lens, exposure etc)?

    30D, 300 f/4 IS + 25mm ext tube, 1/200 @ f/8, manual mode, spot metered, fill flash - 1 2/3

    Can also add the placement of the Dfly parallel to the plane allowed the bug to be in focus tail to head Very appealing image !!!!

    Hi Don,
    Superb, great sharpness, BG, colors and the great perch.

    I am with on your comment about the broken sticks. I must pass up Dlfy images 90% of the time in FL for this reason, today in the everglades I tried for some time and gave up. Almost every D-fly refused to perch on anything other than a dead brown stick.
