    Andy:

    I like the action captured, prey and pose.

    To my eye, the image needs to go about 1/2 lighter, it seems a bit dim for me.

    It would have been nice if you had a second or two to move to your left to cut out the merge of the wing and the upright limb.

    The action is so spectacular that I am OK with the merge. And you would have had to move way, way to the left to avoid it. The image does need to be lightened considerably however.

    Pretty cool action, and I like the old weathered perch. You had the right idea going in the + ECs, you just needed more of it...and/or some fill. I like the careful crop to include the full branch tip at left.
