    this is was originally just some lichen on the side of a cypress tree. used the midnight filter in nik color efex pro twice. once at 100% opacity and the second time at 50% opacity. it's a really cool filter. i always use it at 100% brightness and normally 100% color. the other settings always vary. i also used darken border/lighten center.

    Very smart of you to rotate it the diagonals add tension and Nik Color is the filter I can't go without.

    Harold, I took the same type of image in Florida last year-thanks for the tip on how to process it!!:)Very nicely done.

    Interesting colors and patterns, Harold. Nice diagonal comp too. I can't help but wonder how this would work as a texture overlay :D

    Nice image and application, Harold.

    Only comment I have is it might be nice to include the full lichen in top center, or remove it. I would crop it all the way in, if it were mine.
