    PP in Elements 8: cropped to portrait, 33% of FF, cloned out a brightspot in ULC, corrected shadows/highlights and sharpened bird. darkened and blurred the BG.

    I like.. though the head-down bird messes with my mind a bit. I'm sure that's how you shot him just not a presentation I'm used to seeing. Good feather detail, the eye looks nice and sharp, colors seem natural. I might crop a bit off the top and right to move the brid onto/near the upper 1/3 intersect.

    Hi Peter It did mess with my mind also :) ... but like it !!!

    Might take a little bit form the left and then some from right, the pano look might make give it flow. Image is sharp but I think the critical point is in the shoulder? Excellent image !!!

    I agree with the comments, this is a nice image. The head down doesn't bother me, in fact the nuthatches are usually seen moving headfirst down trees searching for food.

    Hi Peter - like it also - I might just try and lighten the eye just a tad.
