    Last of the 2x III tc trial. From Shark Valley last Saturday. Some cloning to clear BG of another out of focus stork. Only applied sharpening to the eye.

    Nikon D3
    Nikon 500mm F4 vr w/ 2x III tc @1000mm
    F8
    1/3200
    ISO 1250
    Aperture Priority
    Tripod mounted

    Love it Oscar Sharp it is so you must be using a good technique, also like the settings ... shutter speed is some kind of important !! Don't mind going at it wide open for the extra speed !!

    ... might want to test one further away next, seems to be a little tougher !!! Big Congrats !!!

    Hi Oscar. I'm curious, if you feel the bird is out of focus why only sharpen the eye? I concur that the bird seems a little soft in places, but not all that bad. I'm also wondering what the halo is from around the beak area? Nice head angle... good eye contact. I might be inclined to crop a bit off the top... but that's just me.

    Very sharp and good exposure Oscar. Looks like you are going to have a blast with that combo.
