    On the forest floor. I am not sure if the bird is a bit too large in the frame. I kept backing away and the bird kept following. 50D, 500mm, f/5.6, 1/100, EC-1/3, ISO400. I cropped a bit on the right side.

    Agree with our own comment about the birdie being cramped in the frame. Very good EXP and detail, I may blur the BG on the left and the foreground some. If you darken the foreground some, it will keep the viewers eye inside the frame.

    Hey Dave,
    Agree with Fabs assesment on the darkening of the FG and blurring the BG. Really like the light on the head/face area and how it fades off. I'm a sucker for huge/tight images......so I'm OK with that.....but I will probably be in the minority!:D

    Thank you both for your comments. I had both darkened and blurred the bg a bit and not enough I guess. I had been looking mostly at the bg and had not even thought about fg, so good advice. Tks, Dave
