This is from my just completed Tanzania tour. Already looking forward to next years trip! I have a large sequence from the Gnu's crossing the lake. This little calf was struggling all the way across as we had some unexpected rains. Quite the thrill to witness in person!

I like the symmetry of poses and the wedge created by the alignment of their backs and the splashing water. Also like the subtle sparkles in the water behind them.

What a stunning capture, and you have one of life's great rarities a photo of a Gnu where you can see the eye!

Look forward to more, could you tell us where you took them?

Agree with Ken here, getting the eye visible is a real treat with these guys, well done Roman. You can see the concern in mum here, lovely comp, lighting & detail!

Nice one ! I disagree about the lighting, it is harsh for my eyes. Must be Lake Masek. Getting a Wilde's eye in the clear is actually not that big of a problem, especially when running.

Roman, I love the pano for this one and the adults eye shows so much emotion. I like the details and the water splashes are great. Sounds like a dream trip.:)

Just perfect all around Roman, particularly like the feel ... btw the chosen shutter speed renders the water just right for me !!!

Hey Roman, the symmetrical postures does make this, and its always great to see the youngsters tagging along. I like the action, water splashes, and would maybe darken the water just a tad. Still a place I need to visit.

    Kiran,

Being a person who has taken images of Gnu for many many years, I find your statement rather puzzling.

Do you have any images you can post?
