    Default Harrier having Lunch

    Canon EOS 1D MkIII

The Male Montagu's Harrier was feasting on this Paddyfield Pipit when I got to the location , he was comfortable to have me at his table . Pretty rare to witness feeding behaviour of raptors here .
Wish I had got him in clean FG & BG . Well "Take what you get" ;)

Very cool behaviour, and I love the bloated neck implying prey passing through! I also like the vegetation in the BG. Yes, in a perfect world the FG vegetation would not cover parts of the harrier...but the action really makes this a non-issue IMO. What I would like though is more room below as the toes are quite close to the edge. Maybe the leading edges to the flight feathers could be brought up just a tad more.
