I pulled some petals off to expose the center.

Mike, I like the soft textures and colors. What did you use for the background?

Thanks Julie, I shot this on my stairway in the front of my house that has a high ceiling with a huge window high up on the front wall. It gives me a lot of natural light. I shot this through the spindles of the stairway looking into my den which has some built in bookcases that are painted white. The bookcases are probably 15 feet away so they blur out very easily.

I just love these soft flower macros and this is another beautiful image Mike. I like the unusual view with the center exposed as well as the soft pinks and the great comp. On my screen there is a slightly darker spot in the LLC that you could maybe lighten (unless you wanted it there).:)

Hey Vida, Yeah that little petal on the LLC needs some lightening, doesn't seems to match with the rest.

Vida caught the dark petal but that doesn't stop me from loving this image. Would also like to see a view of the entire thing down to the stem...I bet that would be a beauty as well. Nice soft color palette really puts this over the top, Mike.
