    Default Plum Island Snowy Owls

I live 500 miles from Plum Island so I can't just drive over and look around. Has anyone been there lately and what is there to photograph. Thanks in Advance. Jim

Wouldn't it be easier to look for the Snowy Owl in NW PA?

    Hi Jim,
I'm in contact with lots of MA bird photographers and no reports of Snowy Owls at Plum Island. A couple have been trapped at Logan Airport and released. Usually, released at Salisbury or Duxbury beach but there again no buzz with photographers about sightings. I'd save the drive.

Last year was the only good year for Snowy Owls at Salisbury and Plum Island, but the same was true in other parts of the eastern US.
The few birders have reported have been too far off to be aof any use to photographers.

James, you can see what is there from here: http://www.newburyportbirders.com/

On the left hand side you will see, "Recent Bird Sighting" from there you can click on either, "Plum Island Sightings" or "Current Local Sightings." Both lists are updated daily.

I hope this helps you out.
