    Taken 14, Feb, 2010 at 12:16 pm

    1/250sec at F/8 -2/3 ev, ISO 400, @400mm

My first shot with D700 and was lucky that allowed such close encounter with the Marsh Harrier as they keep atleast 100feet minimum distance at the location.

Mital, liked the details a lot. Sharp where it counts. But I am wondering if this wud be even better with an even smaller aperture. You might want to tone down the bright feathers in LLC...I am sure with your photoshop skills, you can easilly pull it off. Light seems harsh and from above....but you did mighty fine in the conditions.

thanks Kaustubh you are right that sun was on top while i was in the woodlands and this fella gave me nice time with him sitting beside him.

surprise was like was moving here and there when this buddy turns to grab nice light angle for eye. lucky got some.

yea LLC can be tweaked down which i really didn't bothered bout while i was totally in fever of this fella's head :)

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the detail and eye contact, and background colors compliment the bird nicely.
