Nothing worth worrying about in the BG so stopped down to F16 to get as much detail as I could - healty crop.

Nice reflection Lance;). Love the dead center position in the composition and the birds look like they are having a discussion.:)

Interesting birds - I've never seen these guys. Nice and sharp, and great pose. I agree with Harshad that at least one of the reflections is a clone. Nice anyway.

The reflections existed in the original shot - however they were not quite perfect - so fixed them up from the mai image - there is/was still a little blending work to be done, didn't want to make it too difficult to spot.

So when are P.S. work like this too much?? Scene existed as shot - just the reflections have been fixed.
    Whats your thoughts???
Too Much??? OK?? Would go with original???

I know each of us has his/her own threshold for image enhancement. Mine may be more liberal than most, but I'm fine with using what is already there to improve the intent. (Confession: in my Red-bellied Woodpecker shot posted shortly after your image today, there was a large oof snowflake obscuring part of the bird's cheek. The easiest way to resolve it was to paste in the cheek from another frame, taken a fraction after the posted one. Same bird, same time and place, give or take a split-second. To me this is legit although it might disqualify it were it contest-entry material.) I think your question is an interesting one and I'll be curious to know what others say.

You'd have to post the orig, but I think it the kind of effect that you are trying for. More of a graphic image or a reality shot. Personally I like them both.
