    nice image.would consider leaving more canvas for bird to fly in.congrats whites look good as well perhaps sharpening head slightly would help

    I like the pose, exposure, and background, Ken. I would wish to see more room on the left for the bird to fly into and you might try some additional sharpening on the bird. :)

    Ken, I liked the pose a lot. Eye contact is good as well.

    But it seems your lens focussed somewhere in the BG. Because of f/11, you have got the feet and tail sharp but the DOF was not sufficient to cover the head and the neck. I dont think sharpening will improve it much.

    If you had shot this with a wider aperture and focus sharp on head, it would have been a much better image. Not only would the the bird have been sharper but due to higher SS, the wings would have been frozen. BG would have been nicely blurred. Comp-wise, more room in front of the bird and less behind will serve it better.
