Taken at Wakodahatchee Wetlands this Jan. Spent half the morning chasing this shot as he was pulling these tiny fish up and flipping them in the air. 2 seconds from the time he pops up till the fish is gone. Captured only 1 good sequence at 10fps with the Canon Mark 3 tripod mounted with Wimberly head and the Sigma 300-800mm lens at 536mm. ISO 800 at f9 and 1/1000th of a sec. Minor bottom crop and right.
As always, comments welcomed and appreciated,
    Roman

I just love these shots with the fish in mid air. Great timing for sure.

A fun shot Roman! It's rewarding when you know the shot you want and you're able to capture the moment like you have here.

Roman, this is a beauty. The fish flip combined with such a great breeding plumage female Anhinga is outstanding! The soft lighting here works well too. Wonderful work.
