PP in elements 5: I worked light, color and sharpness on the bird and perch. BG was extremely busy, I cloned out a few twigs and reeds darkened the Bg lowered its contrast and aded gausian blur to try and and melp the bird and perch stand out.

Hi Peter - Like the look back pose - Bird seems somewhat soft on my screen with a bit of a lack of fine details - did you use NR on the whole image??
Some possible cloning marks under the perch - looks a little funky in area's.
    Keep em coming :)

Like the look back pose and the habitat Peter. Was it a large crop? The bird looks a little soft. Good job with the BG.

Hi Peter - I agree with Lance and Jackie - the bird does look a bit soft. You can remedy that a bit with some additional sharpening on the just the bird. Was the focus on the bird's eye? It looks to have been a closer to the tail???
    Nice job on the bg.

    Cheers

Thank you all for your critiques. I have been told in the past that I over sharpen, so i tried to keep it to a minimum now. This is a large crop and that could be all or part of the cause as well. I will keep plugging along.
