Nicely done getting light under the wing. Good action and I love the fuzzy gray heads that are around right now. I wish the adult was positioned a few degrees more facing you. The hint of feathers from the far wing keep catching my eye and I am unsure if they add depth or are distracting (at least to me). Small smudge along the wing in center can easily be rectified.

Love the begging chick and the two perfect body angles and the right on EXP. Murphy's law of nests: every nest has one stick too many.

I love this image, Jim. The landing pose of the parent and the begging of the chick tell the story. While the nest could be "cleaner", none of the sticks interfere with the action.

Great job telling the story with this capture. All the elements are present. Yes, there's one stick too many but that's the rule with photographing chicks in the nest not the exception. :(

Great timing here Jim, just clearing that left branch and wings out to catch the sidelight. Very expressive and a great story... nicely done.

Great interaction shot, Jim. Love the well lit wings of the adult, the landing pose and the bagging chick.
