Hi Costas. I really like the little yellow plant lice on the flower as well as the soft pastel bg. I cropped to place the flower more to the right, sharpened a bit, did some noise reduction and lifted the levels some.:)

Nice touch, Vida! Good subject matter, Kostas, and I like how you caught the bugs from the side. Two things that I think would have improved the image: Turn your camera so the bud came in more at an angle across the viewing area and add a little more of the stem so we could see where those tinier buds end within the frame. Always try to find a natural "break" on the stem so the flowers/buds are either all in or all out if at all possible.

You have good clarity and detail on the bugs and the bottom of the plant but you lose a bit at the top of the main bud. Try to keep the focal plane of the camera even with the entire plant or stop down a bit more in aperture to capture it all.

Hey Kostas, great find and like the details and the crop on the top really helped out.

It's right about leaving more stem. I find it a little distracting how the buds cut off suddenly. A bit more DOF should have helped (use a tripod if you can and remote release) but as is, it appears just too soft. Cool idea though. :)
