    I photographed this Great Blue Heron last year at Fort Desoto as it was intently hunting for its breakfast during low tide. 40D, 500 f/4, 1/1600, f/7.1, ISO 400. I removed an OOF wood stork from the distant background. Comments are welcome.

    Hi Steve,
    I like the low angle, the raised foot, and the different colored layers of water and vegetation. Also like ethe focused look of the bird on his next meal.

    Everything about this capture works, Steve. I think the layers/lines make it unique and the raised foot gives it an extra something. Well done!

    More than anything else, I like how the bird is illuminated. Beautiful plumage details captured. Love the raised foot, low angle and the focussed look.
