    Another image from Gatorland taken in the early morning with overcast skies. not sure if the 3/4 crop of the egret works.

    Really like the white on white here Don, crop doesn't bother me, I'd be tempted to even crop closer, but I like em' tight! :p

    Only thing that bothers me is the bright area behind the head, keeps pulling me away from the eye.

    I would agree with Mike about the light area behind the head, Don, and I too might crop a bit tighter. In addition, I think you could safely darken the colored area of the head for a more dramatic image. If this was mine, I would clone the flash-generated catchlight. :)
